Image Ordering When Retrieving From A Post

Hi, firstly thanks for a great plugin, it's working really well on the whole.

I have a quick question related to ordering of images. I'm pulling in images that have been assigned to a page, using the shortcode [slideshow post_id="x"]

I'm having a problem though in that the images aren't displaying in the slideshow in the same order that they have been added to the gallery within the page. Any ideas? Happy to PM you a live link...

Hello and thank you in advance for any help. I'm a relatively novice Wordpress user and am wondering why my slideshow is not displaying. I have hardcoded the

into my PHP file, which I am using as a static page with a different template from my main theme template.

Is this my problem, and if so, how do I resolve this?

Images not showing after server move - TimThumb error

I have my dev site and the temp site I am moving to both on BlueHost. The images are over at the new server, but the slideshow images and thumbnails are not appearing. When I click to open an individual thumbnail in the slide show I get this error below. But when I go to the image it is there. When I look in the database the path seems correct, so I am not sure what the issue is and I would really like it addressed so the site can go live. Thank you so much.

I also called the hosting company and they said they were not doing anything to block the TimThumb.

RSS feed of site shows duplicates of the first image in each Gallery

The plugin works correctly on the site itself. However, the RSS feed has problems. It shows the correct images in the correct places for each post, but the first image in each gallery is duplicated. If there is only one image, it is shown twice. If there are more than one, the first is shown twice and subsequent images are shown correctly.

Thumbnails often not loading

Hi. I am getting a problem that comes and goes. SOME of the thumbnails are not loading under the main picture. When I refresh the page, or load it again at another time, different thumbnails go missing, and sometimes the page loads fine with all thumbs showing.

There is nearly always a problem with the following page:

I am running the latest wordpress 3.5.1 and I have tried uploading and pointing to a URL for the images but with the same results.

Slideshow won't load

Hi,

I am new to the wordpress scene and I am trying to figure out how to get this slideshow working. I'm using the short code [slideshow custom=1] using the gallery I made, but all I see is the loading circle. It seems like many other people are having similar problems but nobody is sharing how to fix it. here is a list of all the other plugins currently in use:

Hi.
My configuration is:
XAMPP V: 1.8.0 running on localhost - Windows 7
WordPress V: 3.5.1 - pt_BR
Plugin Slideshow gallery V: 1.2.3.2
My problem is when i load de site, the plugin start to show de images and continue to do this until i click it or simple move my cursor over it. Then it stop to show new images, showing only the one that was showing in the momente i move over it.
It only continue to show the images if I reload de page and don´t move over it...

WordPress Slideshow Issues with the ordering of the slides

Hi,

I placed my slideshow onto the index.php using the following code which puts the slideshow on the page and works great. The issue is the slide order. I do the order the slides and place them the way that I want but the slideshow changes it on the page to a different order than what is showing in WordPress.

Of course, I tried using the shortcode [slideshow gallery_id="1"] but when I go to the page to view it then it just shows the code instead of the slideshow.

No Lightbox when showing thumbnails ?

What a great plugin guys !

However i have a small issue... When i'm turning on thumbnails - lightbox seems to stop working and i can't to click on image to see enlarged picture (also small next/previous arrows isn't working).

Also when i switch to another slide manually (using main next/previous buttons) slideshow stops... Is there anyway of having autoslide ON all the time?

I'm using wordpress 3.5.1 and slideshow gallery 1.2.3.2

I really like your plugin and am wondering if you can please provide direction on how I can achieve the following:

- I would like the initial original images in my post to be removed and only displayed through the slideshow

- I know there is an option in the settings to display the images in a thickbox when they are clicked on. However, I would like them to be displayed in full screen mode similar to how Fullscreen Galleria does when you click on the thumbnail

I'm not a hard core programmer, but can usually figure this kind of thing out if I can get to the place where it's happening. Can someone help me with this? Thumbnails don't advance with slideshow

When you advance through the slides, the thumbnails don't advance - they just stay on the first batch of thumbnails. Should the thumbnails advance along with the slides, or is this just how the plugin behaves?

Hi guys, desperately need some support...

I've installed the slideshow gallery into my custom theme (hardcoded the generic shortcode), whilst calling the unique galleries through the posts. The post is not showing the images, instead just showing the spinning loader. I'm using the latest version of slideshow gallery with Wordpress 3.5.1.

how-to: center images and make them not stretch in IE8

Hello,

Client asked me to look into centering images horizontally and vertically inside the gallery. I made it work with CSS, but had an issue with landscape images stretching improperly in IE8.

Here's what I did to make them center (in css/gallery-css.php):

/* added these rules: */

#fullsize { line-height:px; }
#image { text-align: center; height: 100%; }
#image img { max-height: 100%; vertical-align: middle; }

/* removed these rules: */

#image img { position:absolute; left:0; }

Here's what I did to fix the IE8 issue (in css/gallery-css.php):

#image img { width: auto; }

So essentially I just added width:auto; to the last selector and that made IE8 behave!

Slideshow created using pictures from several posts

We have been using your plugin with great results :) If you go to https://www.ccalps.eu/ccalps/ you will see a slideshow with images from homepage. Right now, we would like to put pictures coming from other different posts (we aim to use the slideshow as a mean to promote information). so for example, we want to pull information from events (each event is a post in our site). Is there a way of doing this?

Hi, i am working with your slideshow plugin - it's working quite well. My question is about replicating it in another site. Do I have to go through all the process of again configuring the plugin with the same options, uploading the same pictures, creating the same galleries, adding the pictures to their galleries... or is there an easier approach?

Loading multiple images at one time

I'm developing on a new site and I have about 10 more slideshows to add. A couple of the slideshows have 30-40 images each and I'm wondering if there is a bulk way to load these, maybe via ftp, and then attach them to the slideshow.

Bug - removing Slides that exist within a Slideshow

If I delete a slide that has already been assigned to a gallery, the gallery retains the reference to the (non-existent) slide and there is no way of deleting it from the "Manage Galleries" console.

Great plugin though, keep up the awesome work!

Loading images from Media Library?

I'm working on a site where I want users to be able to upload images which will then be included in the slideshow galleries. I'm using (but not married to) Frontend Uploader (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/frontend-uploader/) which puts uploaded images into the media library. So far so good.

The problem is, I can't figure out how to get images from the library into a gallery. Is there any way other than downloading and re-uploading each image? Or, does slideshow gallery have it's own user-upload mechanism?

"exclude" directive (still) not working

Hi,

Installed fresh version 1.2.3.2 of the plugin on WordPress 3.4.2, tried using 'exclude' directive in the shortcode, which didn't work. Went on to fish around for a solution, found a fix on this page. Tested and confirmed that it works.

Replace this:

$a = 0;

foreach ($attachments as $id => $attachment) {

$a++;

if (in_array($a, $exclude)) {

unset($attachments[$id]);

}

With this:

foreach ($attachments as $id => $attachment) {

if (in_array($id, $exclude)) {

unset($attachments[$id]);

}

Any reason why hasn't this been fixed up to now? The guy reported it broken in version 1.0.5.

[Solved] Thumbnails missing & General photo storage question

1) I am testing my WordPress site offline (using XAMPP) and was wondering whether the plugin has problems creating thumbnails in an offline situation? For some reason, no thumbnail images show (either in the "Manage Slides" page or the thumbnail slider) and I don't seem to have this test Tom Thumb link. I am running Slideshow Gallery v1.2.3.2 on Wordpress v3.5.1.

2) More generally, if I delete a slide, is the image automatically removed from storage? I just want to make sure I'm not accumulating lots of unreferenced images that is taking up space on my (what will be online) hosting when I add slides for testing and subsequently delete.

Hi, I'm a bit confused on how this actually works but what I'm trying to do right now is to have a slideshow for each post (different for each) with the use of the media gallery of each post and with the use of the snippet

..in a wordpress theme instead of using its shortcode. Is this possible with the plugin? Do you really need to create a slideshow per post or it's possible to have them created automatically? Thanks and looking forward a reply!

Fixed JS syntax error on thumbnail spacing

A bug exists where if the user sets thumbnail spacing to "0" pixels, the zero is passed as null and renders in client-side as "slideshow.spacing = ;" causing the entire slideshow to not display.

I fixed this in /views/default/gallery.php on line 270 by changing:

slideshow.spacing = ;

to:

slideshow.spacing = ;

Missing thumbnails and images

getting this issue, adding get_bloginfo('url') did not work. no images, no thumbnails in backend or frontend. just tiny empty squares where the images should be in the frontend.
tried uploading images with TimThumb enabled and disabled, still no luck. checked file/folder permissions and everything is in order.
simply cannot see any images.
when i upload a slide, it creates the database entry, but no image.

latest versions of everything....

i cannot make it live as my client does not want the broken gallery on her site, so i am unsure how to show you a link.
