Newsletter Config: System Emails
Newsletters > Configuration > System Emails
The “Newsletters > Configuration > System Emails” section in the WordPress Newsletter plugin is where you edit the default emails that are sent by the plugin to admin and subscribers.
System Emails are messages sent as notifications to users/admins on events.
You can configure each system emails individually according to your needs.
You may use any of the inside the subjects/messages of system emails.
Each template is inserted where the [wpmlcontent] tag is in the default theme chosen under Newsletters > Themes.
The Posts template allows the admin to compose the layout of a single post sent as a newsletter, by arranging the available shortcodes (shown below the editor).
The Latest Posts template allows the admin to compose the layout of the latest posts sent via newsletter, by arranging the available shortcodes (shown below the editor).
The Confirmation Email is sent to the subscriber once they have clicked the “subscribe” button on the front of your site. They need to finalise there subscription by clicking a link in an email that is sent, this is the email. The
[wpmlactivate] shortcode is important in this template.
The Bounced Email is sent to admin when an email bounces. One can expect several of these emails when sending to a large mailing list. There is a setting in the configuration to turn off these notifications.
The Unsubscribe User Email is sent to a subscriber when a subscriber unsubscribes. It’s a “S
The Unsubscribe Email is sent to admin when a subscriber unsubscribes. The 2 shortcodes in this template will out the email of the person who unsubscribed and a comment if they left one.
The Expiration Email is sent to the subscribers who are part of a paid mailing list. When there paid for interval has expired then they are sent this email to renew it.
The Paid Subscription Email is sent to admin when there is a new subscriber to a paid mailing list. None of the shortcodes here are needed, but they are useful to determine the email and mailing list which was subscribed to.
The Cron Schedule Email email is sent to admin when the cron job fires. This is just to alert admin that the emails as sending. There is a setting in the configuration to not be notified about the cron firing.
The New Subscription Email is sent to admin when a there is a new subscriber on the site. It just notifies admin of the email address and custom details of the subscriber once the subscription has been activated by the subscriber.
