   I am using Posts vs Pages due to large quantity of items we will have, per Tribulant's suggestion. I have set post categories for my items also. But I want to be able to use the Blog page as a regular blog. Each store product and store category is showing up on the Blog page, in it's entirety. How can I only show ONE category on my Blog page (it would be the blog entry category) and hide the store entries?

   If I cannot do this, can I at least change the Blog page to only show excerpt summaries and not the huge product listing?

   @computergal - What your Blog page shows is really pretty independent of the Cart plugin stuff, aside from the fact that the Cart does create posts...

   By default, a WP Blog page will show *all* posts, in their entirety - which is why you're seeing the product post and each category post...in their entirety.

   What *I* usually do for my clients is create a special category just to show on the Blog page, like "Blog" or "News" or "Happenings"... and then either edit your index.php to only query that category, or - if you're not into coding - install a plugin to handle the category choosing.

   That way, when the client does posts that they want to show on their Blog, they just make sure they pick the correct category - *AND* they need to make sure that they *DON'T* pick that category when they do products (otherwise, the products will show up there after all).

   It's really a post-managment issue, not a Cart issue... they're just related.

   @computergal - I had that same issue and found this plugin "RYO Category Visibility" and it worked like a charm "hiding" my product posts from my regular blog/news posts.
