Version 4.0 of the WordPress Banner Rotator plugin is a major release containing many new features, improvements and fixes.

New Highlights
Here are some of the highlighted, new features in this release:
Pushdown Adverts
Pushdown Adverts with Standard and Expandable modes, including collapsible and closable settings. Choose between top or bottom location.
Geotargeting Locations
Geotargeting menu and feature to replace Countries field. Includes shortcode. Supports Country, Administrative Division (State/Province, etc.), and City. This lets you set up multiple locations and assign them to Adverts and Zones. Using the shortcode lets you display banners from Adverts or Zones that have that location assigned.
Override Text Box Presentation
You can now override the default settings for Text Box Presentation per advert, giving each text box its own style. Customize colors, fonts, and appearance individually for each banner to match your design needs.
Alternate Banner
Alternate Banner feature for Adverts and Pushdown > Standard. Set up an alternate image that appears when you hover or click over the first image.
Clicks and Click-Through Rate
Clicks and Click-Through Rate (CTR%) statistics are now displayed in Save a Banner Ad (Adverts > Add New) page, giving you better insights into banner performance.
Color Picker for Text Box
Color picker for Text Box Presentation makes it easier to customize your banner text styling with precise color selection.
Modern Calendar Interface
Updated calendar design throughout the plugin and with time selector for Start and End Date conditions, providing a modern and intuitive way to schedule your banners.
Copy Shortcode Feature
Click to copy any shortcode, making it quick and easy to implement banners throughout your site.
Improved Image Upload
Use WordPress dialog modal for media upload, providing a native and consistent experience when selecting images for your banners. Selected images now display immediately without needing to save first. Adverts can now use external image URLs for greater flexibility in banner management.
PHP 8.4 Compatibility
Fully compatible with PHP version 8.4 and WordPress 6.9+.

Improved Admin Tables & Text
Improved column & text display with clearer labels and intuitive icons. All columns now properly display without text overlap and all text has been revised, making it easier to view and manage your banner data.
Active/Inactive Statuses
Active/Inactive statuses for Ads and Zones when displayed in certain edit pages help you quickly identify which items are currently running.
Allow Sort for All Columns
Allow sort for all columns makes it easier to organize and find your banners, zones, and all other items in admin tables.
Pause Rotate on Hover
Pause Rotate on Hover setting for Zones allows banners to pause rotation when users hover over them for better interaction.
Geotargeting for Widgets
Geotargeting option for Widgets. It displays banners from Adverts or Zones that have that location assigned. Banners from Adverts take priority.
Delete Exported Stat Files
Delete Exported Stat Files in Settings allows you to remove all CSV-exported statistics files directly from the dashboard, instead of leaving them there indefinitely.
Enhanced HTML Code Editor
The HTML Code editor for Code-type adverts has been updated to support more functions, giving you greater flexibility in creating custom banner code.
Enhanced Preview System
Preview functionality for every supported ad type has been improved, allowing you to see exactly how your banners will appear before publishing them live on your site.
