This is a major release with many features, improvements and fixes. Much work went into making sure the Banners plugin is better than ever before.
What is the WordPress Banners plugin?
The WordPress Banners plugin is an ads publishing plugin for WordPress.
You can create multiple ads in zones of different sizes and display them throughout your WordPress posts, pages, sidebars and more.
Image, code, Flash and video ads are supported so the possibilities are endless.
The video ads are pretty awesome since you can just paste a link from YouTube, Vimeo, Twitch or any other large video website and the plugin will handle the rest.
New Feature Highlights
Here are some of the new features added:
Charts Overhaul
We completely redesigned all the charts in the Banners plugin with the latest libraries.
The charts are now beautiful and smooth but you can also do so much more with them. You can switch between bar and line chart, choose the period – days/months/years – and also pick a date range with the date pickers.
You can view and manipulate the statistics on the Banners plugin overview page, each zone, each banner and and each size as needed.
Geographic Banner Zones
You can now control the country or countries that banners should show on per zone.
When you create or edit a zone, there is a “Countries” field available which allows you to specify multiple countries optionally.
Show All Ads in Zone
Display all the banner ads in a zone with the count attribute set to all on a zone shortcode, eg: [ banners_zone id=3 count=all ]
As simple as that and all the banner ads from that zone will be displayed at once, respecting your ordering settings of ads in that zone.
Improvements and Fixes
This version brings important improvements, such as:
- Security fixes and improvements
- Preview link not working on responsive ads
- Debugging is overriding WordPress debug
- Zone with page reload doesn’t show first banner ad
