How to Make Your Blog Content Stand Out More?

If you have been blogging for a while but struggled to grow your website to a point where you can monetize it? Publishing articles regularly is not enough if you want to make money from a blog.

Fortunately, there are multiple ways to improve the content and attract more readers. Here are some tips to help you polish your approach to blogging that will hopefully lead to content monetization.

Tip #1 – Backlinks

Adding more backlinks to your content is a good strategy, even if it is not sponsored articles you publish as guest posts. Besides improving overall search engine optimization, backlinks to authority websites add more value to articles, especially if they link to scientific research or statistics to back up your writing.

Tip #2 – Visuals

Relying entirely on your words is not an optimal choice, even if you are an excellent writer. An average reader does not have the attention span to keep themselves interested in long articles. No, you need to add visuals, such as pictures. Publishing high-quality infographics is worth a shout as well.

If you wish, you could also use different fonts. For example, if you have a MacBook and do not write directly on the blog’s platform, learning how to use downloaded fonts in word mac might be worth your while.

Keep in mind, though, that some fonts are a hindrance because they are not reader-friendly. Therefore, test the font yourself or have someone else read it before you commit.

Tip #3 – Comments

It is no secret that some blog posts get spammed by comments with links to questionable websites. However, that is not enough of a reason to disable comments on a blog completely.

As a blogger, your goal is to respond to as many comments as you can and show readers that you are interested in engaging with them. Besides, having genuine comments below a blog post builds value as well. In addition to reading the article, website visitors may also find valuable information in the comments.

Tip #4 – Schedule

Publishing articles on a regular basis may be difficult sometimes, but you should still try your best to stick to a schedule. Missing a day or two is not too bad, but if you establish yourself as a blogger who publishes an article once a week, expect to get a backlash from your community if you fail to meet their expectations.

Tip #5 – Clickbait

Clickbait titles are a bit tricky. If you were to suddenly switch to them, some of your readers may react negatively and stop visiting the blog. On the other hand, sharing articles with clickbait titles on social media could be just the thing to attract enough new readers that monetizing a blog is no longer a problem.

Some people cannot help but click on sensational titles because they wish to find out whether the information is right or not. Clickbait titles have become a popular marketing technique, and if nothing else, you could publish a few articles with such titles and see how they perform.

Tip #6 – Mobile Optimization

Most blogging platforms are mobile-friendly, and bloggers do not have to bother with putting extra effort to optimize the website. Or, at the very least, there are free themes that make a website’s pages accessible on smartphones and tablets.

On the other hand, you should still spend some time confirming that your blog is mobile-friendly. Get some help and test the site on as many different mobile devices.

Statista reports that roughly half of all the internet traffic comes from mobile device users. If you have a poorly optimized blog, you will miss out on many potential readers.

Tip #7 – Questions

Asking questions at the end of an article is another way to increase engagement. For instance, if you posted a review about some of your favorite movies or TV shows, you could ask readers to share what they like to watch.

The answers could snowball and create a discussion in the comment section where readers recommend movies and TV shows to each other.

Tip #8 – Editing

There are writing plugins and other tools to improve your writing, but you should edit articles yourself or hire a professional editor. An error here and there is not the end of the world, but repeating multiple grammatical mistakes throughout the text is off-putting and does not encourage readers to explore your other articles or come back to read the blog in the future.

Tip #9 – Repurposing Content

Repurposing old content is another neat piece of advice. Look through some of your old articles and determine which of them did well. You can make some adjustments to these articles and publish them again.
