First of all, thank you for sharing a great year with us. We’ve been up and down, barely touching ground with heaps of work that had to be done and wow, has it been an experience!
For us it is all about coming online each and every day to offer support on some of the best premium WordPress plugins on the market and watching them evolve into powerful plugins as we engage in new releases so often.
Many things happened throughout the year which allows us to grow and work harder at what we do as we pursue our ambition for software and WordPress overall. Let me highlight a few things to tell you about some amazing stuff that happened.
Ongoing Plugin Development
There have been many releases throughout the year, especially over the past 6 months as we did rapid development on all plugins with more frequent releases.
Here are a few of the latest releases on each of the packages:
- WordPress Shopping Cart plugin v1.5.5
- WordPress FAQ plugin v1.4.3
- WordPress Slideshow Gallery plugin v1.1.1 (free)
- WordPress Newsletter plugin v3.8.4
- WordPress Custom Fields plugin v1.2.3
- WordPress Thumbshots plugin v1.0 (free)
- WordPress Banners plugin v2.6
For the purpose of more rapid and controlled development, we recently set up an SVN server to keep track of development and distribution throughout the company.
The Subversion allows us to commit changes made on a daily basis as we build new releases and easily roll back to previous revisions if needed.
With that said, we’ll soon be offering automatic plugin updates through your WordPress panels, using the SVN. This will save you time with upgrades to new releases and we hope that you also look forward to it.
As you may know, each license comes with a 3 months free updates subscription which gives you access to that download and all new releases within that period. Thereafter, your download expires and you can renew it for as little as $5 for another 3 months.
We made some improvements to the renewal system and posted an announcement to tell you more about it. You can now renew your license for 3, 6, 12 or even 24 months at a time to secure your download for a longer period of time.
Please note that we are aware of the fact that our system currently sends license expiration notifications once your downloads have expired and we are working on improving that to notify you guys ahead of time.
Thank you for supporting us by renewing your licenses!
Partners and Promotions
At the end of May 2010, we launched an affiliate program for our WordPress plugins upon customer request and it has been a create success so far.
As you may know already, the affiliate program allows you to promote our premium WordPress plugins with a link or a banner (provided in the affiliate panel) and as a result you will earn 15% of each referred sale and 10% of all indirectly referred sales.
There are already almost 50 affiliates whom have engaged in this opportunity and the commission payout has grown each month with more and more sales being referred.
If you have a website related to WordPress, software or the internet in general, have a look at our affiliate program as there is a huge market for WordPress plugins. You can definitely earn good commission!
Cool Handle hosting promotion
We worked together with Cool Handle to create a WordPress optimized hosting package with the speed, performance and resources that you need to run powerful WordPress websites.
You can get a free, 30 day Cool Handle hosting trial package when you order anything from our website. On our shopping cart page, you’ll see a checkbox which you can tick/check to get your free hosting trial after your purchase.
We had a promotion running throughout December with a 20% discount on all purchases through our site. The coupon code is FESTIVE and it is still valid until the end of December.
In the new year we have a 10% discount throughout the year with the coupon code 2011 which you can enter during checkout to apply your discount. We made a video to market this discount and it will be posted on the blog soon.
I want to thank all employees involved for your hard work and amazing contribution throughout 2010. You have all worked very hard and made many things possible which without you probably couldn’t have been done. Thanks!
Kyle Schuller on technical support
Young and ambitious, from the UK, Scotland, Kyle Schuller. He started working with us in September 2010 and it has been a very positive experience.
You will find Kyle answering your tickets in the helpdesk and you might also see him on live support during the day GMT time helping you with any pre-sales or technical questions you may have.
Neha Garg on plugin development
Neha started full-time development in November and has contributed to some of the new releases which have already been made available over the past month.
Working with Neha has been a pleasure and we look forward to collaborating with her further in 2011 to build even more amazing premium WordPress plugin builds.
Lynnette Mae Cue on search engine marketing
