New Feature Highlights

Here are some of the feature highlights:

Beautiful New Charts

Beautiful new, fully responsive doughnut and bar charts will appeal to any mailing list administrator in many ways.

The colours of the charts will speak to you as they are relevant to the data that they represent. They load extremely fast and they will respond well on your desktop, mobile and tablet devices as you manage your newsletter campaigns and subscribers in your WordPress dashboard.

These bar charts are also available per newsletter so that you can see specific data per newsletter as needed.

New Dashboard Widget

We have redesigned the overview widget of the Newsletter plugin in the WordPress dashboard with a better interface and data representation. It now shows you what you want to see, right off the bat!

The new dashboard widget is under the “Dashboard” menu of the WordPress admin panel. It is entitled “Newsletters Overview“.

It displays a quick bar chart to give you information on emails sent, new subscribers, unsubscribes and bounces in the last 7 days. Additionally, a doughnut chart will give you percentages of emails read, unread, bounced and unsubscribed for all emails ever sent.

A list of recent newsletters will give you access to possible drafts you’re working on or recent newsletters that you have sent out to see how they perform.

Google ReCaptcha API Update

We have updated the Google ReCaptcha API in the plugin with the new no security captcha ReCaptcha. It doesn’t have a code or string that has to be entered, it uses a pass through mechanism to detect if you are a bot or not.

It works extremely well in the Newsletter plugin subscribe forms, blocking bots as needed and also allowing your subscribers to verify themselves without struggling to read and enter characters. Enjoy, you’ll love it, well done Google ReCaptcha!

Shortcode Parameters

With more parameters on post shortcodes, you can display WordPress posts in your newsletters just as you want them to display. You can set the thumbnail size, alignment, spacing and class name as needed.

More parameters on the post thumbnail shortcode lets you similarly do the same when just inserting a thumbnail image of a post into a newsletter.

These parameters will surely make the styling of emails much easier.

Existing Customers

If you already have the WordPress Newsletter plugin installed, you can simply go to Newsletters > Updates in the plugin or to Plugins in your dashboard and update there automatically. This is the quickest, easiest way of updating the plugin!

For new installations and manual updates, you can obtain the ZIP file from your downloads management section. See the online documentation for instructions on installing and setting up the plugin accordingly.
