WordPress Mailing List Plugin v3.6.8
Sending out WordPress newsletters has never been easier & quicker than with the WordPress mailing list plugin. This new release (v3.6.8) of the WordPress newsletters plugin has many fixes & improvements together with several new features to make your WordPress mailing even more facile. For a list of changes made to this release please read the WordPress mailing list plugin v3.6.8 release notes.
We have put much effort and time into developing a reliable and flexible package. There are many new features which have been worked on such as auto responders, improved XHTML/CSS, MoneyBookers integration into paid subscriptions, WordPress post comments email notifications and several others though these features weren’t completed on time for this release (v3.6.8). Another update will follow soon with more major features apart from the ones being released today. See some of the new features below which are included in v3.6.8:
- View Email in Browser
You can allow your subscribers to view the newsletter online in their browser by putting the shortcode[wpmlonline]
into the content of any newsletter. The shortcode will be replaced with the necessary link that will take the subscriber back to your site. The text/caption of the link can be changed in the “Settings” section of the plugin. - Unsubscribe Comment Box
When a subscriber decides to unsubscribe from a mailing list a comments box will be available on the unsubscribe page if you turned this feature on in the “Settings” section of the plugin. The comments are optional and it is not a required field in order for the subscription to be deactivated. - Admin Sorting Options
Sorting records alphabetically and by date is available in all administration sections. You can sort alphabetically by A to Z & Z to A. You can sort the date by New to Old & Old to New. This is simply a usability feature which gives you more control over your records when browsing through them. - jQuery Porting
The plugin has been ported fully from the Prototype/Scriptaculous JavaScript library to the jQuery JavaScript library. Not only will this make the WordPress mailing list plugin much, much faster due to the fact that jQuery is lightweight but it will also solve many compatibility issues with 3rd party plugins. - IP Logging of Subscribers
The IP address of all users who subscribe to your mailing lists will be recorded and stored in your database. Some hosting providers require that your newsletter software has this capability and it is now available in this package. - Email Tracking
All emails sent out using the newsletter plugin are stored in the database and tracked. When an email is opened by a reader it will send a response back to your server and mark it as read. You can see the total number of emails read in comparison to the total number of emails sent out for each of your history email items.
Existing customers of the newsletter plugin may download this update from the downloads management section. If you haven’t purchased a license yet and you feel that the plugin will suit your needs, get the WordPress newsletter plugin right now for a very low and affordable price of only US$49.99. Installing the plugin is a swift process. See the installation instructions for more information. In case you are upgrading from an older version, simply overwrite all existing plugin files with the newer ones. This looks like an awesome plugin! It’s really useful that the software now logs the IP’s of newsletter subscribers making it more capable with webhosts.
