WordPress WHOIS Plugin v1.1.5
I’ve been meaning to post this since I updated the WordPress Codex 4 days ago but work has been chaos. Too much to do, too little time. What I have learned over the past few busy months is that focus and concentration plays a huge role in the production of software. Most logical, yes, but you truly have to turn that switch on and dedicate yourself towards ironing out bugs, visualizing new ideas and covering all possible aspects of both hands-on development and marketing together with its distinctive factors.
As a result of collaboration and a good amount of effort, a new version (1.1.5) of the WordPress WHOIS plugin is available for download. You can find all the details in the WordPress Codex or update the plugin directly from your WordPress Dashboard. I’m just popping in to tell you about the new version in case you haven’t noticed it or was hoping to hear back from myself and Tribulant Software via the newsletter. Let me tell you more about the changes which were made in comparison to the initial release of the plugin.
Working with the WordPress WHOIS plugin has been a pleasant experience and it turned out well. The product has shaped into a more flexible tool which primarily serves the purpose of allowing your users to obtain information on domain names with a vast range of TLDs (domain extensions such as .COM; .NET; .ORG) to choose from. Some of the new features include…
- Improved CSS on the front-end
- Interface improvements
- Fixed a bug with the “Default” WordPress permalink structure
- Configuration under “Tools” > “WHOIS” in the Dashboard
- Captcha/turing number on the front-end for human recognition
- Turn on/off TLDs you which to use
- Drag and drop TLDs to sort/order them
- Translation & localization capability
Enjoy the new features and I’m certain that they will be useful and purposeful. You can download the latest version of the WordPress WHOIS plugin from the WordPress Codex and please remember to give it a rating on there once you’ve downloaded, installed and used it. Your feedback will be greatly appreciated and will provide us with inspiration to improve and expand the package.
