Banners: News Child theme by StudioPress
The News Child Theme by StudioPress has a minor issue with the WordPress Banner Rotator plugin when specifically using Flash banners in the primary sidebar. There is a solution for this problem though.

The Problem
The News Child Theme by StudioPress has CSS styles in it’s style.css
file on approximately line #1095
which defines a fix width and height for the EMBED
and OBJECT
elements in the sidebar.The purpose of these styles are unknown.
As a result, any Flash banner ads using EMBED
and/or OBJECT
elements inserted as a widget into the sidebar with the WordPress Banner Rotator plugin gets resized, disregarding the size set inside the plugin. Here is a screenshot to illustrate:
The Solution
To fix this problem, simply open the style.css
file of the News Child Theme by StudioPress. The style.css
file is located at wp-content/themes/news/
in your WordPress installation.
You can either remove the width
and height
style attributes or comment them out as shown in this illustration below, that will fix the problem:
