WordPress Newsletter plugin – Events Manager Subscribers
Capture email/newsletter subscribers through the Events Manager plugin booking forms into the Newsletter plugin.
Installation
1. Make sure that you have the WordPress Newsletter plugin installed and activated.
2. Make sure that you have the Events Manager plugin installed and activated.
3. Get the Events Manager- Subscribers and then download it from your downloads management section in ZIP format.
Automatic Installation
3. Go to Plugins > Add New > Upload in your WordPress dashboard where you can browse to the newsletters-eventsmanager.zip
file and then click the “Install Now” button. Upon successful installation you will be given the option to activate the plugin immediately so you can click the “Activate Plugin” link and skip the upcoming activation instructions.
Manual Installation
1. Extract the ZIP archive named newsletters-eventsmanager
in order to be presented with a single folder named newsletters-eventsmanager
.
2. Upload the newsletters-eventsmanager
folder to the wp-content/plugins/
directory of your WordPress installation, as seen in the example image below. Follow the upcoming activation instructions to activate the Newsletters-Events manager subscribers extension plugin.
Activation
Once you have installed the Events Manager Subscribers extension via FTP you need to activate it.
To activate it you need to go to the normal Plugins > Installed Plugins section via your admin sidebar. There you will see the extension as a plugin listed amongst other plugins, as in the screenshot below:
Once activated you will see it listed in the Newsletters > Extensions section (via the “Newsletters” menu item in the admin sidebar), as seen in this image below:
Usage
Configuration
Configure the Events Manager subscriber extension in the settings menu. Go to Newsletters>extensions and click on settings. Scroll to the Events Manager Subscriber settings.
1.) Booking Subscribe Checkbox – Check this checkbox to enable the subscriber checkbox on the booking form.
2.) Checkbox Label- Choose the text of the subscribe checkbox label
3.) Auto Check – If you want the checkbox to be auto checked on the booking form, select this option.
4.) Mailing Lists- Select the lists to subscribe users to when they have the subscribe box selected on the booking form.
Add a list per event
Assign a list or multiple lists per event. If you don’t specify any lists, the users will be subscribed to the global specified list.
Result on Front-end of your website
When users fills in the booking form with the “Subscribe to our newsletter” checkbox checked, they will be subscribed as newsletter subscribers.
