Newsletters 4.9.9.8 Release Notes

Release notes for version 4.9.9.8 of the WordPress Newsletter plugin.

Added

• Option to sanitize the email content under Configuration > General > Sending Settings.
• Prefix attribute to [newsletters_field ] shortcode. From now on, it is easy to add Hi {firstname}, using this shortcode: [newsletters_field name=”firstname|” prefix=”Hi “]
• Delete account button to Default template of the subscription management in front-end.
• New filters to add inline style to post link and post thumbnails: ‘wpml_post_anchor_style’, ‘wpml_post_thumbnail_img_style’.
• Post Type selector in Single Post block while creating/editing the newsletters.

Improved

• The link to view logs in the hover text in Configuration now loads the correct page.

Fixed

• Fatal error while using ConvertPlus addon and the subscriber subscribes to no list.
• SQL injection vulnerability.
• Mailing lists were not showing in the groups view.
• autoembed_callback incomplete check made embed function run unexpectedly while preview generation in Video Embed.
• Prevent deleting administrator users when Delete on Unsubscribe option is set to Yes.
• XSS vulnerability on view logs and error log.
• Plus symbols (+) now appear in newsletter creation, such as in subject, body, preview.
• WPML and all other multilingual plugins front-end compatibility issue.
• Importing subscribers using “Yes and show progress” and not mapping firstname and lastname columns.
