Newsletters 4.13 Release Notes

Release notes for version 4.13 of the WordPress Newsletter plugin.

This is a small update. We are preparing a larger v5.0 update with new features and improvements. Coming soon!

Added

• Multilingual category select for Polylang in Latest Posts Subscriptions settings.
• “Protect Log File via .htaccess” button in the view logs page (admin).

Improved

• Added random prefix to prevent unauthorized access to the plugin log file.
• Add esc_sql while updating Subscription Forms and form fields to avoid unexpected problems.

Fixed

• Polylang language selector compatibility issue with > v3.x.
• Subscriber count problem on lite (not registered) version of plugin.
• Sanitized the [wpmlmeta] shortcode output to prevent execution of unsafe custom field HTML (reported by Muhammad Yudha – DJ).
• Prevented fatal error by guarding the edit_form_after_title hook with a valid post check.
• Autoresponder not sending due to an issue with “Always Send?”.
• Autoresponder redirecting to create new page when clicking “Continue editing”.
• Incorrect subscriber count on the dashboard due to caching issues.
• Mailgun API attachment handling. Attachments are now sent in the correct format required by Mailgun SDK v3.2.0, resolving MultipartStreamBuilder errors and ensuring reliable email delivery.
• PHP 8+ fatal error in gettheimage.php when sanitize_class() received nested arrays instead of flat array of strings.
• Beaver Builder reCAPTCHA conflict.
