Checkout Config: Category Settings

Checkout > Configuration > Category Settings

1. Show Category Title

This is set to “Yes” by default. It allows you to toggle the display of the category title on and off.

2. Show Category Image

This is set to “No”  by default. Setting this to “Yes” will display the category image if one is uploaded for the category. When this is set to yes the “Category Image Display” option will become available as seen at number 3.

3. Category Image Display

Set this setting on how you want to display your category image on individual category pages. You can set the image to tumbnail or or full image display.

4. Category Image Dimensions

This setting is only available if “Yes” has been chosen for number 2. It is set to “Thumbnail” by default. You can choose to display a Full Image of the product on the Category Page.

5. Grid Items per Row

Set the number of grid items that you want to display in a row.

6. Grid Thumbnail Dimensions

Use the width and height boxes here to set the thumbnail dimensions of the categories in your grid.

7. Show Descriptions

This is set to “Yes” by default and shows Category descriptions to the user. Setting it to “No” will hide the category description from being displayed.

8. Show Keywords

This is set to “Yes” by default and shows Key words that were added to the product when it was created or edited.

9. Show Sub Categories on Category Pages

This is set to “Yes” by default and shows sub categories on the category pages. Leaving this set to yes will allow you to configure the subsequent settings shown in the above screenshot. Setting this to “No” will hide the sub categories and the subsequent settings will not be available.
