Checkout: Zoom Gallery
1. Make sure that you have The Shopping Cart plugin installed.
3. Extract the ZIP archive named
checkout-jqzoom.zip in order to be presented with a single folder named
4. Upload the
checkout-jqzoom folder to the
wp-content/plugins/ directory of your WordPress installation,like seen in the example image below.
Once you have installed the Zoom Gallery extension via FTP you need to activate it.
To activate it you need to go to the normal Plugins > Installed Plugins section via your admin sidebar. There you will see the extension as a plugin listed amongst other plugins, look at the screenshot below.
Once activated, you will notice that it is listed in the Checkout > Extensions section via the admin sidebar. As seen in this image below.
Product Image Gallery & Overlay
You can configure the Zoom Gallery extension settings for the main product image and extra product images to form a gallery under Checkout > Configuration > Products & Images > Product Page Settings.
1. Image Gallery And Overlay
You can switch between “lightbox effect” and “zoom effect” . The lightbox effect lets you shoose between full images or thumbnails images to display on the front end of your page that customers will see.
With the zoom effect you can hover over a image and see that the part you hover over on the image will enlarge, this works good for images that has more detail and you would like a closer look at the image.
2. Zoom lens
When enabling this feature you will have a small block that follows the mouse cursor to enlarge the part of the product image you hover over.
3. Zoom Effect Position
With this feature you can decide on witch side om the original product image you would like the zoomed part of the image to display, on the “left or right” .
4. Dimensions Of Zoom Window
Here you can change the width and height of the zoomed product image which shows the zoom of the product image.
Variation Option Images
You can apply the Zoom Gallery extension effect to the variation option images as well. This can be configured under Checkout > Configuration > Products & Images > Product Variations & Options.
As seen in the image above, hovering over the product image, a zoom window is displayed showing a zoomed view of the product image so that the customer can see the finer details.
When clicking on the extra product images, it will upload them to the image product and they will display below the main product image and become part of the zoom gallery, loading the smaller images into the main product image space and working with the zoom window as well.
