WordPress Shopping Cart plugin: Guest Checkout extension plugin

 

Installation

1. Make sure that you have the WordPress Shopping Cart plugin installed.

2. Download the Guest Checkout extension from the downloads management section in a ZIP archive (you may need to login to your Tribulant Software account in order to access your download).

 

Automatic Installation

3. Go to Plugins > Add New > Upload in your WordPress dashboard where you can browse to the checkout-guest.zip file and then click the “Install Now” button. Upon successful installation you will be given the option to activate the plugin immediately so you can click the “Activate Plugin” link and skip the upcoming activation instructions.

 

Manual Installation

3. Extract the ZIP archive named checkout-guest.zip in order to be presented with a single folder named checkout-guest.

4. Upload the checkout-guest folder to the wp-content/plugins/ directory of your WordPress installation, like seen in the example image below. Follow the upcoming activation instructions to activate the Guest Checkout extension plugin.

 

Activation

Once you have installed the Guest Checkout extension via FTP you need to activate it.

To activate it you need to go to the normal Plugins > Installed Plugins section via your admin sidebar. There you will see the extension as a plugin listed amongst other plugins, look at the screenshot below.

Once activated, you will notice that it is listed in the Checkout > Extensions section via the admin sidebar. As seen in this image below.

 

Configuration

Note that, for the moment, the Guest Checkout extension does not activate when the product is a digital one but only when it’s a tangible one. That forces customers to register in order to track and have access to their digital products in the future.

Configuring the WordPress Shopping Cart plugin Guest Checkout extension plugin to allow customers to purchase on your website without having to register/login is quick and easy.

Simply go to Checkout > Configuration > General > User Related Settings where you will now see the “Guest Checkout” setting which you can turn “On” and save the configuration for it to take effect.
