WordPress Shopping Cart plugin: Total Web Solutions
Use the Checkout – Total Web Solutions extension plugin to sell online using WordPress, our WordPress Shopping Cart plugin and your Total Web Solutions EcomMerchant account.
Process Credit and Debit cards securely using the Total Web Solutions Payment Gateway (UK Merchants Only). Total Web Solutions is one of the lowest priced PCI Level 1 compliant Payment Gateways in the UK with charges starting at just £10.00 per month including 300 transactions per month.
The Total Web Solutions extension plugin has the following requirements:
1. Make sure that you have the WordPress Shopping Cart plugin installed.
3. Extract the ZIP archive named
checkout-tws.zip in order to be presented with a single folder named
4. Upload the
checkout-tws folder to the
wp-content/plugins/ directory of your WordPress installation, like seen in the example image below.
Once you have installed the Total Web Solutions extension via FTP you need to activate it.
To activate it you need to go to the normal Plugins > Installed Plugins section via your admin sidebar. There you will see the extension as a plugin listed amongst other plugins, look at the screenshot below.
Once activated, you will notice that it is listed in the Checkout > Extensions section via the admin sidebar. As seen in this image below.
After you installed and activated the Total Web Solutions extension plugin, you can go to Checkout > Configuration > Payment Methods in the plugin where you’ll notice the “Total Web Solutions” checkbox on the right-hand side to enable this payment gateway and then fill in it’s configuration settings accordingly.
Fill in the title/caption/name for the Total Web Solutions payment method which will be displayed to your customers in your shop.
2. Customer ID
Unique customer ID provided by Total Web Solutions for your EcomMerchant account.
3. Secret Key
You can set the secret key to any value of your choice in your Total Web Solutions EcomMerchant account under SETTINGS > Authorization > Pay Page > Update Pay Page Settings. Scroll to the very bottom and insert the secret key.
Once you’ve done that and clicked “Save Settings” fill the same value into the “Secret Key” configuration setting in the plugin as shown above in #3.
Simply select the currency to use. Make this the same as your global currency set in the Shopping Cart plugin under Checkout > Configuration > General > General Configuration.
Set the language of the payment page provided by Total Web Solutions.
Set the mode of the payment page. Either “Test” or “Live“. For a test Total Web Solutions EcomMerchant account, set this to “Test” so that you can do test transactions. Contact Total Web Solutions for a document with test cards and details to use.
