WordPress WHOIS plugin v1.3.1 Release Notes

  • “Available” widget referral link
Each sidebar widget gives you the ability to specify a referral link title, url and target for when a domain being searched for is available (not registered). The link will appear below the domain status.
  • WHOIS link in widget when “Registered”
With the sidebar widget(s), if a domain is “Registered”, a WHOIS link will be displayed below the domain status. The link will open a new window with the full/complete WHOIS output for the domain which was searched for.
  • WordPress Shortcodes API
The domain WHOIS plugin now integrates with the WordPress shortcodes API. The post/page embedding code changed from “{whois}” to “[whois]”. Additional options and attributes will be developed in the near future.
  • Reset Configuration Settings
You can reset all configuration settings in the “Tools” > “WHOIS” section by clicking on the “Reset Configuration Settings” link in the right-hand sidepanel of the page.
