Newsletters send articles via email with title and picture, but not the article

Since my website updated to Divi 5, articles often (but not always) are sent without the article itself. If you click on the title, it says "No Results Found" in my browser, but if you clikc on the picture, the article opens.
The article displays correct on the website.

Exporting a subscriber list

I'm trying to export a subscriber list, but it just does not go past 29. The list has 928 subscribers. It does not produce an error and I can't find anything in a log anywhere - but it just sits there without progressing.

When I opt to include the full post in an email, the shortcode includes both the thumbnail and, directly underneath, the full-size image contained in the post. I don't want both images, just the full-size image. How do I remove the thumbnail?

Also, sometimes I just want a list of post titles with no thumbnail or excerpt. How do I do that?

is there a way to filter out subscriptions that are in one mailing list but not in an other.
If it is not directly possible, maybe you can give me a hint, how to acchieve this by php-coding?

Email queue not running - cron job set but queue complains about wp-cron not working.

I set up the cron job as per instructions and edited the setting page to disable the wp-cron but the emails that are queued are not being sent.

Hi,

When I use the shortcode [newsletters_date format="%d/%m/%Y"] it shows 01/01/1970. It happens on the email subject and the email content. It shows 1970. I like that decade but it's gone.

I'd like some help to fix this issue.

Scheduled Post Sent As Newsletter Sending Twice to Subscribers

I have scheduled several posts in advance (1 per day) and have them set to be sent as a newsletter using the option on a new post page at the bottom. Somehow though the system is sending the newsletter twice to the subscribers and I cannot figure out why. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Does the Newsletter pluing count a view of preview pane as a "read". If not, shouldn't there be an "Open" option - so we know that they've at least seen the email.

Mail not being released

Hi,

Trying to send a mail using one of your templates. Preview all working correctly. Test list all delivered to 3 mailing addresses but when sent to larger list 4000ish addresses the log file says - Invalid post ID.

The mail was scheduled to be released at 0:01 but the log was generated at [2019-01-22 06:45:53] and nothing at midnight to say addresses failed etc.

We are sending mail out using our own mail server. Settings correct and have been successful for a number of years but recently we are seeing glitches. This isnt the first time this has happened and my team are getting a little despondent with the plugin.

Newsletter email handling of images in posts

The shortcode [newsletters_post_thumbnail] seems to handle an image that is within the post differently from an image that is a 'Featured image': in the first case the thumbnail image appears on one line, and the text begins on the next line, which is OK. In the second case the text starts immediately to the top right of the thumbnail, with no space between image and text, which looks poor.
I have tried adding hspace, but it has no effect.
How can I either: display a featured image + text exactly as a regular image + text; or, ignore a featured image, and use the post's first image always?

Mails not sent

Hello.

In the admin panel, everything looks like if the mails had been sent.
But the mails are not in the mailbox, or in the spams. I asked to some users, and no one has received the mails.
When I use the test sending parameters, the message say the mail is sent.
But nothing in the mailbox???

I use the Newsletters LITE, version 4.6.11

Before Jully, all the mails were sent without any problem.

Any idea??

Autoresponder messages not sending

I've used the newsletter plugin quite a bit over the last year or so but I'm having trouble with a particular website. It was working fine about a month ago. Not sure if this has anything to do with it but Mcafee blacklisted the domain on it. I think this was based on the content of the website being cbd hemp oil. I got them to remove the domain off of the blacklist. I can receive test emails from the plugin. I use a server cron on siteground. I always use siteground and have never had an issue before. The newsletter log is showing me Email could not be saved: No subscriber was specified; No unique ID was specified. I do get confirmation of subscription sent to my email though. I'm using a generated html form which is how I always do it. I've checked over thing multiple times. Crossed checked setting with working sites and can't seem to figure out why. Is there a way I can get you guys to take a look at it?

Hi, I purchased the total control plugin and am using it with the newsletter plugin. I was setting this up with members having access to each their own mailing lists and then realized that their appears to be no way to set each member up with their own "From Name" under General Mail Settings. Is there no way to do this? Must every message that goes out from each member have to have the same from name?

Language issue with predefined shortcodes and WPML

Hi;
We need to send various Newsletter to different language people.
For example, we put this shortcode in a French Newsletter:
[newsletters_activate]
In the preview window, we see all perfectly, texts according to selected language.
But, when we send the Newsletter, activate button shows in Spanish and link goes to Spanish [wpmlmanagement] page too.
Any help?

Problems with subscribe activation page

We use [newsletters_activate] shortcode in the newsletter to send activation option to all our subscribers.

On page "manage-subscriptions-2" we have this shortcode: [newsletters_management]

On the email, we receive this link on activation button:

In our other sites, previos URL redirects to this one:

But in this one site, we receive the first URL, then it goes to 2nd URL but then, it automatically redirects to this URL:

https://www.xxxxx.com/eu/manage-subscriptions-2/

So, we can't show any successful message to recently activated user.

We have this problem just in one site, but we don't know why.

Any help? We are using last version of the theme: 4.6.11

GDPR Opt In - How can this be done?

The GDPR (European Union Directive on General Data Protections Regulations - https://www.eugdpr.org/) comes in to force on 25 May 2018.

Many websites - especially those with mailing lists - are requiring users to continue to proactively opt in to to receive newsletters.

How does the newsletter plug in deal with this? Does it deal with this?

Ideally, I would like a method to email all newsletter subscribers, to ask them to click to opt-in to continue to receive emails, and then to record which users have opted in.

Can't insert a post using the envelope icon

Hi there, I'm running the LITE version of the plugin.

When I click on the "envelope" icon to insert a post, I'm able to choose a post category, but when I choose the actual post from the dropdown beneath, it doesn't seem to keep my selection and I get a popup message saying "choose a post".

I've deactivated ALL plugins except the Newsletter plugin and I've swicthed to the Wordpress default TwentySeventeen theme. I'm still having the same problem.

If anyone could offer any advice or assistance that would be great.

Activation link should activate the subscription and not link to manage site

Hi,
is it possible to create a activation link (shortcode) which activates a confirmation immediately and does not redirect to the managing-site.

The shortcode [newsletters_activate] only redirects to the managing site, where the user can confirm.

The user should only click once inside the mail.

Please help.

Bounce count reset

IMO bounce handling is too simplistic in its current form. There is a bounce counter per subscriber and a maximum number of bounce before the subscriber is deleted. However, the counter only counts up and is never reset. Thus, a subscriber could work perfectly and bounce only every few months. Nevertheless, the subscriber will be deleted! For this reason, I lost many subscribers. Since there are more than 6000 of them I cannot control them manually and need automatic bounce management.

For a good bounce management a different approach is desperately needed. For example: if n consecutive newsletters bounce, remove the subscriber. Or: Reset bounce counter to 0 if there is no bounce for m consecutive newsletters.

There are many options here. But there should be at least one implemented. Otherwise, this plugin is useless for many subscribers.

Responsive Posts content

Hi - I am struggling to create a good format for a weekly newsletter and make it responsive. If I understand correctly, the templates are responsive, but the Posts content comes from the Email templates (either Posts or Latest Posts) - but these do not create responsive content.

I am not looking for anything complicated; ideally just a two column layout with:

Title (as needed up to full width)
Left float Image (to about 100px square:
Excerpt (alongside floating image (obviously)

This is the title of each Post and can be quite long

My image Excerpt content floating here so that it sits alongside the image
My image and wraps correctly when there is a good amount of text and
My image ends with a [Read More] message
-------------------------------------- the a single line separator -----------------------------------------------

Just this is difficult - but then on Mobile I would like these to stack vertically.

Do I need to create my own whole Posts Content template to embed in the email to achieve this or am I being stupid and missing something?

I've read two threads with the same need as me: filling the subject field of latest posts subscription with the title of first post (in my case, just one post per email). Users (some of the 18.000+) claim this as useful for archiving purposes. Is there any possibility to add an specific shortcode for this?

Newbie question about email templates

I just installed the lovely newsletter plugin and I'm trying to create an email template.
Everything is working fine, and the shortcodes are working, but I have an issue with the content of the email, currently I can use [newsletter_posts] and [newsletters_main_content] (still don't know what the difference is), but what I want to do is customize the actual posts html layout, like for example in PHP you can run a loop and customize the html the way you want, but I can't find any way to do this in the plugin, am I missing something or this is not possible?

Newsletter with newsletters_posts changes when viewed in browser

Hi,

I'm creating newsletters that contains the last x post using the newsletters_posts shortcode. The newsletter also contains the "view in browser" link. However, when a subscriber clicks there after some days the browser view is different from the mail view since the shortcode is evaluated with the current date and, thus, contains recent posts that haven't been online when the newsletter was sent.
IMO the browser view and the mail view should be consistent all the time - no matter when it is viewed. Any chance to get this?

Varying WooCommerce customer subscription by product

This is related to the WooCommerce extensions.

I want to add all my customers to the "Customers" list, as well as a list (or lists) matching the product(s) they purchase. I'm migrating from WooMailPoet, which adds a list selection to each product to make this easy, but I don't see how to do it with the Newsletters extension.

Is there some programming hook I can use for this, or a way to configure this?
