[Solved] Automated emails

edited April 2015 in Shopping Cart plugin
when customers place an order, do they receive automatic emails when order is:

- confirmed (order successfully placed)
- processed (order has been viewed / received by me/admin)
- shipped (order has been packed and shipped)

or do i have to manually create emails to let them know when each action has been performed?

    Thank you for your post.

    The customer will receive an automatic email/order receipt when the order is placed.

    From there, as you edit the order and update it's status to paid, shipped, etc... there is a checkbox "Notify Customer" which you can tick and write a custom message which will be emailed to the customer at the time of saving the order.
