On newsletter form sumbit detection

I am web developer and my client asked me to include the form to the modal window, which I did (custom widget in the footer which pops up on click in modal window). I would love to have onsumit detection so I can with PHP add class to modal window so it stays open to display either success or error message.

    Hi starchie1,

    If you publish a widget in a sidebar with Ajax action, then copy the source code incl. the FORM tags and paste it in the modal window, you should be able to do that.
