Eliminating a blank Gallery.php

Since I am only using an image, I want to eliminate the blank <h3> tag on my homepage for SEO reasons. I found a way to eliminate the <h3> tag on the slideshow via gallery.php, however when I do this, the slideshow does not work.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Thank you for your post and request.

    I believe at the moment if you remove the H3 tag, the slideshow may fail as you mentioned due to the Javascript looking for it, selecting it and unable to find it causing an undefined Javascript error.

    We're adding this to the development list of the Slideshow Gallery plugin to eliminate the blank H3 tag there then we'll include this improvement into a future release of the plugin accordingly.
