Order payment received but no order in db

We recently received and email from a customer looking to see where her order was. The payment had come out of her account and when we checked it was received by us. However, a trawl of the entire db for her phone number, name, email address yielded no results, We got no order confirmation, neither did she. How is this possible? I'm using guest checkout so she didn't have to login.

    Hi David,

    There have been instances where similar things happened under older versions of the Shopping Cart plugin. Which version are you using? If older than 1.6.9.4, would you consider updating?

    I'm using 1.6.9.4

    I'm actually just in the process of moving hosts so hopefully we'll see the site function better with the new host.

    If that was a first and only occurrence of the kind, would you be prepared to wait and see how things go after your move? It's certainly a first for us.

    Nevertheless, if you feel it warrants urgent attention we could try to investigate?
