Negative Lists or something else

I'm really interested in the newsletter plugin but I'd like to be able to add people to a list called 'purchasers'. In this list, I'd like to be able to have custom fields that are set to yes or no depending on the name of the field. One field could be product One, then then next Product Two.
Now, I'd like to be able to pull up the list and mail only to people who have purchased product one but not product two.
Is this possible?

Yes, it's possible to create a list called purchasers and to add custom fields for product 1 and product 2.
You can then segment subscribers by field when sending a newsletter. If you segment by product 1 custom field, it will only select the subscribers for product 1 when sending the newsletter.
