Newsletter Theme Header Image

I would like to find a way to load the featured image of the post (being sent as a newsletter) to be used as a header image for a theme I am working on. Can I create a shortcode for this? Do you have any pointers for me on this?

    Unfortunately this is not a built-in feature of our plugin, some custom coding would be required to achieve that.

    Can you give me a little direction on how to accomplish this? I am quite familiar with php and wordpress. I was unable to locate where your shortcodes are configured so I could mimic what you have done.

    Which shortcode specifically do you want to mimic? Please note that the Newsletter Plugin should render any third party shortcodes inside the newsletter.
