Orders missing contact information

In the last two weeks, orders for repeat customers to my site have started showing up with () under user and do not have any billing or shipping contact information. Has anybody else seen this?

So far I've been able to piece together and figure out who's placing orders based on some unique data I collect in a custom field.  But this is a pretty serious issue.

I have all the personal information marked as "required" in the configuration page under "payment fields."

    Which version of the Shopping Cart plugin do you have? 
    Do you have the latest v1.6.9.1?

    There was a problem in v1.6.9 specifically with new customers registering on the "New Customer" tab of the contacts step being taken to the billing step incorrectly instead of going to the shipping step. This was fixed in v1.6.9.1. Could this be the problem that you're experiencing?

    We had this very problem and the v1.6.9.1 update fixed it.  We are a lot happier now (and so are our customers).
