[SOLVED] Featured Products

Hi,

Is there a way I can pull out like 4 random or latest featured products from the shopping cart plugin using php code? 
What will the coding be?
The shortcode doesn't work for me, not sure why. I have disabled all other plugins as well but the shortcode doesn't work in my wordpress page.
