Free purchases problem

If the sum of an order is $0, shouldn't the checkout process skip the payment gateway and finalize the order?

I have looked at using the custom/manual payment method but this allows for paying customers to have access to this option.  Some customers will inevitably choose this option and print up what they think is a receipt. 

Wouldn't it be easier to set a condition to check for a $0 total and skip all of the payment gateways?

The other option would be to have a selection choice in the custom/manual payment setup to hide the custom/manual method on sales > $0.

    This issue has been raised recently and is in fact on our development list to be included in a release of the plugin in the near future.
