Error after uninstalling Slideshow Gallery plugin

Following error is displayed on every admin page after unistalling Slideshow Gallery plugin on WordPress 3.4:

Warning: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, first array member is not a valid class name or object in /home/xxxxxxx/public_html/mcdpr.com/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 503

Wanted to reinstall the plugin to see if this would correct the error, but the plugin is no longer available from the WordPress Plugin Directory via the Download button on your site:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/slideshow-gallery

Can someone help?

    Update:

    Downloaded and installed Slideshow Gallery plugin from GitHub and the error disappeared when the plugin was activated but it persists when installed but deactivated.

    Any ideas?

    Another update:

    After clicking Reset to Defaults on Configuration Settings, noticed the following errors at top of the screen:

    Slideshow Gallery: It seems like your theme is missing the wp_head() function. See documentation.

    Slideshow Gallery: It seems like your theme is missing the wp_footer() function. See documentation.

    For whatever it's worth, this site is using the Genesis Framework

    @exelexys

    The plugin shouldn't be able to execute anything after being deactivated.

    Did the error persist or is it gone after a page refresh?

    The wp_head/wp_footer messages tell you that the wp_head/wp_footer functions don't seem to be active. It could happen if you have cache running on your site. Is that the case?

    We're not sure why the plugin was closed since it is active and in development but we contacted WordPress to find out what is going on. Thank you for reporting.

    I look forward to your response.
