Read Tracking system

Hello,

An internet/computer services company which with my firm is working told us that the "Read tracking system" of the Newsletter plug-in (the embedded image in the Email) could make our sent emails to be considered as spams ? Is that true ?

Yes, that`s true. If not used properly images can increase your email SPAM score, since the tracking image isn`t used for its original purpose it may affect your SPAM score.

Thank you for your post.

If you feel that the tracking may trigger spam filters, you can turn it off.

You can turn it off under Newsletters > Configuration > General.

It shouldn't cause drastic problems with spam filters if any at all.
