[Solved] System Configuration "Register New Subscribers as Users" option

Hello,

I just activated the option "Register New Subscribers as Users" option and I have some questions concerning the email which is sent to the newly created user, which mentions the user's login and password details.

First, is it possible to modify the email's template ? The email I received while testing the process is linking to the /wp-login.php page and I would like to delete that link, and maybe also to write a welcome message to my new user :-)

Another question : the user's password which was automatically generated does have special characters like % or ^ ... from my point of view that's not very easy for the user... is it possible to configure the password generation process so that it use, for example only letters and numbers... ?

The email sent to the user with the username/password is a WordPress system email.

It is not an email created by the Newsletter plugin and isn't controlled by it either.

WordPress uses wp_new_user_notification() function for this.

There are 2 ways to change it:

1. With a plugin, such as this: http://wordpress.org/plugins/welcome-email-editor/

2. Manually with your own pluggable function, like this: http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/15304/how-to-change-the-default-registration-email-plugin-and-or-non-plugin

Regarding the other question regarding the password...

This password is automatically generated by WordPress upon registration.
