Slideshow won't load

Hi,
I am new to the wordpress scene and I am trying to figure out how to get this slideshow working. I'm using the short code [slideshow custom=1] using the gallery I made, but all I see is the loading circle. It seems like many other people are having similar problems but nobody is sharing how to fix it. here is a list of all the other plugins currently in use:

    Hi connor6,

    Thanks for your post.

Did you perhaps create the gallery under 'Slideshow > Manage Galleries'? The shortcode to use in that case looks like this:

    [slideshow gallery_id="X"]

And then there are several parameters you can add to control certain aspects of the slideshow, as you can see here:

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/slideshow-gallery/

    I hope this helps?

    Kind regards,

    Phil

I changed it to [slideshow gallery_id="1"] but no luck I still have the same problem. I also changed the resizeimages parameter to true but nothing has changed

    Hi connor6,

That sounds strange... I can assure you the plugin works, and works very well.

Is there a possibility we could have a link to the page where the slideshow is supposed to appear so we could try to see what the issue is? We could also login to check for you, but then you would have to submit a support ticket at http://tribulant.com/support/ and provide WordPress admin login details.

If you submit a support ticket, kindly also place a link to this forum thread in the ticket.

I look forward to your reply.

    Regards,

    Phil

    HI there -
I think I am having the same issue...

I have tried both ways (PHP and shortcode) and it is not working for me...

(I am using both methods currently so you can see what I mean)

When I look in my media gallery I see the images are, in fact, "uploaded" to the post in question.

When I use the shortcode the gallery doesn't show up - - just an empty container where the images should be.

When I use the PHP method I get the "No slides are available" message (you can see it above the title of the post)

You can see that I inserted one of the images into the post directly and it still is not showing up in the slideshow…

    Hi staceyzav,

If you uploaded the images to the post/page in question, are you using the shortcode [slideshow post_id="X"] ?

If not, could you try that and see what happens? If it still doesn't work, could you also please submit a support request at http://tribulant.com/support/ with WordPress admin login details so we could investigate? In that case, please also include a link to this forum post

I look forward to your reply.

    Kind regards,

    Phil

    Hi Again -
Thanks for your reply.  I actually have it working now - it was an issue of the temporary domain. Once we set up a domain, it started working with the shortcode!

    Thanks for a great plug-in!

Thanks for letting us know, staceyzav - much appreciated and glad you managed to resolve the issue.

connor6, has your issue been resolved, perhaps via our support desk or otherwise?

I look forward to your reply.

    Kind regards,

    Phil
