Newsletters – Embedded Images 1.2
This is a minor update to the Embedded Images extension plugin with some improvements and fixes. See the detailed release notes for all changes made.
What is Embedded Images?
It is our unique extension plugin for the WordPress Newsletter plugin which uses CID image technology to insert/embed images inline into newsletters and attach the images to the email.
As a result, images don’t load remotely from your server but instead they are available to the reader immediately as they open their email. It increases the read rate of your newsletters.
Why do I need to update?
The main reason for the update was to fix an issue with Mandrill only the last image in each email/newsletter. It was due to all the attachments having the same name “attachment“. Each attachment will now have a unique name to prevent this problem.
In addition to that, some other improvements and fixes have been made to improve the usability of the Embedded Images extension plugin overall.
