WordPress WHOIS plugin v1.4.2
This is a very minor release of the WordPress WHOIS plugin, mainly containing fixes and improvements and of course, WordPress 3.2.1 compatibility.
You can view the full release notes for this release of the plugin before I tell you about some of the highlights.
WordPress 3.2.1 Compatibility
WordPress 3.2 “Gershwin” introduces a new WordPress dashboard interface and many new features, including the new HTML5 TwentyEleven theme as well.
The WordPress WHOIS plugin is fully compatible with WordPress 3.2.1, tried and tested thoroughly.
You can upgrade your plugin and your WordPress installation to the latest as well.
Link to Reload TLDs
There is a new link under Tools > WHOIS captioned “Reload TLDs from the config file” which will load and save any domain extension/TLD changes that you made to the configuration file accordingly.
There is a great video tutorial in our documentation which will illustrate to you how to add custom TLDs to the WHOIS plugin if they are not already in the list upon installation.
New TLDs/extensions Added
We’ve added .it (Italy), .ie (Ireland) and .fr (France) TLDs to the plugin. We plan on adding many more extensions to the WordPress WHOIS plugin. If you want to put in a request for a specific TLD, please contact us.
Fixes and Improvements
This release of the plugin has fixes and improvements to the Custom CSS, the sidebar widgets and we also solved an issue with the plugin giving a PHP Fatal Error upon activation if the Really Simple Captcha plugin wasn’t installed and activated.
